Inline Flat Pears –
This is the type of lead that I use for 90% of my specimen fishing on still waters. The main advantage of using an inline lead for me is that most of the weight is at the front meaning that when a fish picks up the bait and lifts it helps prick the fish’s lip especially when using short hook lengths.
As for casting this type of lead is great for distances up to 75yards and makes the rig look nice and tidy, relatively tangle resistance and the rubber inner where the swivel pushes into creates the perfect resistance for self-hooking rigs and if you are fishing clear venues where placing a rig in the margin stealthfully then this is the perfect lead as it sits flat on the lakes bed. The rubber sleeve also has the perfect diameter for rig tubing to be pushed into.
I’m also a great lover of this type of lead on rivers, especially the larger sizes when
fishing overnight for barbel and carp.
Available in the following sizes 1.5oz, 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz in either a smooth or
textured finish.

Swivel Pears –
This type of lead casts much better than the Flat Pears so if you are giving it the big one and need to hit that 100yard range then a very good choose. It’s
also good when feature finding or fishing in weedy venues as it creates a good thud feeling through the rod when it hits solid ground.
Available in the following sizes 1.5oz, 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz in either a smooth or
textured finish.
Prices start from just £1.20!
Flat Swivel Pears –
Same shape as the Inline Pears but with a swivel and great for ranges up to 75yards. I tend to use these on rivers when I’m fishing into darkness and
watching the tip for liners as well as that three-foot twitch. The textured finish is also good for moulding scolded pellets around.
Available in the following sizes 1.5oz, 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz, 4oz in either a smooth or textured finish.
Prices start from just £1.20!
Square Inline –
Big fish anglers swear by these, especially carp anglers as they are great for semi-fixed presentations where you want the full weight of the lead to set the
hook.
Available in the following sizes 1.5oz, 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz in either a smooth or
textured finish.
Prices start from just £1.20!
Torpedo –
These leads are what you need when trying to hit the horizon on venues
where bait boats are banned and the fish are showing at ranges in excess of 100yards.
Available in the following sizes 1.5oz, 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz in either a smooth or
textured finish.
Prices start from just £1.20!
Distance –
As above but with the advantage of giving a better thud through the rod
when hitting that all important clear spot.
Available in the following sizes 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz, 4oz, 4.5oz in either a smooth or textured finish.
Prices start from just £1.32!
